Position Highlights:
* This physician will join 9 vascular surgeons in the M Health
Fairview system who currently perform all manner of open and
endovascular procedures specializing in aortic disease, peripheral
vascular interventions, and the full breadth of vascular practice
throughout the Minneapolis/St Paul metro with hybrid operating
rooms in all regions of vascular practices.
* The physician is expected to function as the Program Director of
the Vascular Surgery Fellowship training program in conjunction
with the Integrated Vascular Surgery Residency Program Director
* The position will include a half day per week in a well-developed
outpatient vein center.
* The candidate must have demonstrated interest and ability to work
within a multidisciplinary framework to provide comprehensive
vascular care to our patients no matter the location.
* An ACGME-accredited Integrated Vascular Surgery residency and
Vascular Surgery fellowship is in place throughout the M Health
Fairview system.
* The physician will participate in activities and initiatives to
support the goals, mission, and values of the Vascular Division,
Department of Surgery, and University of Minnesota
* The position will be focused at University of Minnesota Medical
Center East/West Bank which receives tertiary and quaternary
vascular referrals, in addition to a robust aortic program and high
number of aortic dissections.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
* MD, MD/PHD, or DO degree or equivalent
* Graduate of an accredited ACGME Vascular Surgery training
program.
* Board certified in Vascular Surgery
* Minimum of three years in practice as a vascular surgeon
* Experience as a Vascular Surgery Program Director or
Associate/Assistant Program Director desired
* Must have or be eligible to obtain a Minnesota medical
license
* Ability to obtain/maintain DEA certification in the State of
Minnesota
* Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and
Privileges
* Demonstrated history of effective and collegial written and
verbal communication with students, trainees, colleagues, and
patients
* Commitment to a collaborative interdisciplinary approach to
vascular care
* Understands and places importance on patient care/service.
* Detail oriented and self-motivated
* Education focused and a creative problem-solver
