Become a Binder and help us revolutionize health insurance.Health Configuration AnalystSummaryWe are seeking a configuration analyst to join our growing health design team. In this position, you will play a key role in enabling the Bind benefit plan by executing the build and implementation of benefit plan adjudication requirements. As a Health Design Configuration Analyst, you will serve as a subject matter expert on the benefit configuration of platform applications, configure and test complex business requirements. Focus, enthusiasm, and a dedication to excellence are all personal characteristics highly valued in the Bind organization.Responsibilities* Execute the build and implementation of benefit plan adjudication rules, often under aggressive timelines.* Ability to execute testing to ensure it confirmation of business requirement. Analyze issues/defects and debug the system when configuration is not producing the expected results.* Establish consistency and standardization as it relates to tools and processes (deliverable templates, change management processes, process flows, etc.).* Participate in the development and implementation of an enterprise claim platform, providing subject matter expertise on the system configuration and usability components. Align operational needs with technology requirements.* Subject matter expertise on the Bind claim platforms, understanding how best to translate the Bind product requirements into benefit rule configuration. Consult and coordinate on larger configuration initiatives.* Facilitate meetings with Plan Design, Operations and others to achieve benefit design solutions that meet needs and expectations.* Document best practices and new processes focused on configuration work.* Monitor backlog of setup and configuration items and implement approved configuration changes as per documented requirements.* Perform additional duties as assigned.Requirements* Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Health Administration or related field* Advanced Microsoft Excel* Experience with project methodology (requirements, design, development, test and implementation)* 2 years' experience working in a configuration analyst or technical business analyst role* Understanding of database structure and database table relationships* Understanding of Agile, including Scrum and Kanban* Must be able to understand complex business processes that cross many functional operational units* Clear, concise, engaging and effective written and oral communication.* Strong analytical skills, demonstrated ability to problem solve and think creatively.* Self-directed with the ability to influence without direct control.* Accurate and precise attention to detail.Preferred Qualifications* 3+ years business/operations experience in a health plan environment and familiarity with commercial plan design.* Experience assisting in the plan build/plan configuration of claim adjudication platform.* Medical Coding Certificate; RHIT or CPC by AAPC or AHIMA license or working knowledge of coding within benefit and claim adjudication.* Experience in the application of medical and reimbursement policies within the claims adjudication process.* Experience assisting in the plan build/plan configuration of claim adjudication platform.* Startup experience* Working in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment* Agile, ready to change direction on the flyWhat We're Offering* Chance to join a new tech start-up aiming to fix the healthcare industry* Empowerment to shape new solutions disrupting healthcare while providing benefits and choice to its members* Flexible work-from-home schedule to support work-life balance* Opportunity to work with people who are motivated to go to work every day and make a difference* Competitive pay, generous PTO, and the opportunity to be a part of a new health insurance plan powered by the consumer, you!Diversity creates a healthier atmosphere.
