National Account Manager - Target Job number: US11365 Position type Regular Function Sales State/Province Minnesota City Minneapolis Region US Posting Date: Oct-15-2019 Division Information Spectrum Home & Personal Care (HPC) Division participates on a Global basis in small electric appliances, shave/groom appliances and beauty appliances. Our well- known brands include George Foreman, Black+Decker, Farberware, Breadman, Juiceman, Russell Hobbs and Remington. Our products appeal to consumer trends for healthy eating, stay-at-home cooking, creating today's new hair style and much more. We distinguish our product offerings from the competition by employing forward thinking, innovative technologies matched with a strong understanding of consumer needs to bring to market high quality, superior products that delight the end user. Job Summary The National Account Manager will direct all activities relating to sales for the Personal Care categories at Target including responsibility for account management, in Minneapolis, MN. This responsibility entails managing a portfolio of Remington Products. As the primary account contact, this position is responsible for building sales volume through new product support, strong merchandising and developing meaningful relationships with the buyers and support staff. Primary Duties & Responsibilities - Develop and implement a business plan that achieves Target and Spectrum Brands objectives leveraging cross-functional teams. - Accurate and timely forecasts by item by month to ensure supply and objectives are met. - Develop strong business relationships with key personnel. Effectively penetrate/understand the organization at all levels while achieving service excellence. - Deliver key objectives by analyzing the business, evaluating sales trends and creating high impact sales presentations to the customer. Be recognized as a category expert. - Develop sales strategies, programs and plans for existing and potential business. Develop profit plan and sales action plan and monitor actual results vs. plan throughout the year, making adjustments when appropriate. Do business reviews of accounts and present them as appropriate to management. - Develop and manage account-specific promotional plan, coordinating with finance, trade marketing, marketing and sales management to align with brand strategies and advertising plans as appropriate. Recommend opportunities for increased penetration, based on knowledge of customers and territory. - Establish appropriate account contacts and maintain an effective and appropriate call program. Handle inquiries, complaints and service programs working through appropriate functions and acting as liaison with promotions, special programs, new products and other relevant activities to customers and to brokers. - Attend customer meetings and trade conferences as appropriate. - Maintain current knowledge of market conditions and trends, through own field research and sharing of information with Personal Care sales force. - Responsible for forecasting and overall coordination with retail brokers and internal teams. - Provide leadership to direct report in the execution of work plans and long and short term goals. Education and Experience Profile - BS/BA Degree; MBA a plus - 5-7 years selling experience preferably with Target experience. Required Skills - Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email - Results orientated and self-starter with can do attitude - Strong analytical skills to allow for fact-based selling - Understanding of syndicated and Category Data for decision making - Strong communication both verbal and non-verbal as well as negotiating skills - Organization and prioritization skills. Effective time management, detail and accuracy - Goal oriented individual who can focus on obtaining objectives - Ability to think strategically and make sound business decisions - High level of integrity - Negotiating skills Work Environment Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
