Join a growing Private Equity portfolio company to drive growth in the restaurants/foodservice desserts business!Position SummaryThe Associate Brand Manager is a key member of the Marketing team responsible for supporting the growth of the Foodservice business focused on fast-growing national and regional restaurant chains. This role will deliver key responsibilities of managing and growing our current portfolio of products, delivering business insights and analysis, and driving the commercialization of related marketing plans and coordination of marketing and selling materials. This is a highly collaborative position where you will work cross-functionally with Sales, R&D, Supply Chain and Finance as well as Graphic Designers and Plants/Distribution Centers to drive initiatives. Essential Functions

  • Assist with the development of the annual marketing plan and programs
  • Support the new product process and innovation platforms of the group, including participation in brainstorming sessions, platform insight development, and concept writing support
  • Competitive product or segment reviews, including secondary data analysis, price checks, and consumer research analyses to make action-oriented decisions
  • Manage product assortment and SKU mix, identify gaps in portfolio and react to market needs to drive profitable growth for the portfolio; including the SKU rationalization process.
  • Assist in pre-commercialization projects of new product launches by working with team members to qualify business cases and assist with pricing/positioning recommendation of products.
  • Assist in trade shows or distributor shows to provide booth direction and marketing support.
  • Work with team in the preparation of selling materials and POS, and ensure that the printed promotional material is being used optimally
  • Design market research projects to assess customer attitudes to the current or new products.
  • Assist in presentation preparation for major sales presentation, top to top customer meetings and new business development by incorporating insights/ trends.
  • Track marketing spend vs budget Minimum Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field
    • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar marketing role
    • Consumer Packaged Goods or Foodservice channel experience a plus
    • Experience working in a fast-paced corporate environmentSkills, Knowledge and Abilities
      • Good presentation and written communication skills.
      • Highly organized with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects against deadlines.
      • Previous experience leading cross-functional teams with strong interpersonal skills
      • Strength in creative thinking and problem solving
      • Must be a quick learner and flexible
      • Proven analytic skills. Must be comfortable mining and analyzing data, then developing clear and actionable conclusions/recommendations.Environmental & Physical RequirementsCandidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment with minimal noise. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
