Govern technology vendors (expanded role beyond TI) to ensure effective relationships are maintained, supplier services meet the specifications from the contract, invoices are accurate and timely, operational issues are escalated and resolved appropriately, and we demonstrate auditable control over our suppliers. Provide vision and strategic leadership to the technology vendor governance organization to continue the journey and reach the next level of high performance.

Responsibilities Provide direct thought leadership and influence strategic direction with respect to relationship, financial control, issue, and performance management to ensure. Secure required support from other Company business functions to meet the mission of the Technology Vendor Governance organization. Engage early in the sourcing of new services to help articulate technical services and performance requirements for new capabilities that are required as per the technology strategy and technology business plans. Drive efficiencies and use analytics to improve key performance management area in Technology Vendor Governance. Guide technical VPs in securing the level and quality of services contracted from the vendors and in fulfilling Company obligations. Collaborate with the Category and Strategic Sourcing VPs and teams to ensure seamless transitions from the Contract phase to the Manage phase of the life cycle. Lead cross-functional Technology teams to articulate technical and service requirements that enable vendor accountability. Major Areas of Accountability People leadership, strategy, financial planning & management, resource management, vendor relationship management, business partner engagement & relationship management, and change agent. Continue to strengthen a highly effective and efficient technology vendor governance organization with required skills and structure to meet current and future business needs. Develop and maintain a high performing organization through effective hiring, coaching, rigorous performance/talent management, and employee engagement initiatives. Foster a collaborative, success-oriented team environment where resources are empowered and accountable. Employ technical, operations, analytics, and industry expertise to influence technology strategy based on technology needs/vision (ideate and demonstrate how technology and technology vendor governance can support and drive the organization). Translate business needs and strategy into short and long-term technology sourcing strategies. Collaborate with Enterprise Procurement to implement these strategies by leading senior technical and sourcing leaders (including VPs). Lead annual budget and financial planning process for assigned organization to include vendor contract budget(s), cost/benefit estimates on proposed projects, and investment decisions based on return on investment, criticality, and business need. Manage project and business unit budgets. Ensure business maximizes value on dollars expended on projects, systems, and vendor relationships. Prioritize and plan technology/service/support solutions within annual budgets (business-as-usual and investment). Develop and drive a resource modeling strategy to effectively balance the use of employees and business partners to maximize efficiency, technical and functional capability, cost, and quality of the organization and its technical assets. Proactively collaborate with procurement to execute and analyze vendor governance strategy. Partner with vendors to drive quality and contract compliance while participating in the negotiation process as needed. Provide oversight to ensure contractual service performance and cost targets, and goals are met. Monitor management of critical incidents to stay abreast of situation as needed and ensure permanent solutions are implemented for recurring issues. Escalate, address and communicate issues, as appropriate, with technology, business and vendor leaders to achieve timely resolution to issues. Champion and ensure adherence to policies and standards. Foster strong working relationships across the organization and within technology to drive vendor governance strategy and performance goals. Be a change agent. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry advances and developments to be incorporated into and improve technology operations, end-user experience and business capabilities. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field; or equivalent work experience; MBA preferred. 10+ years of experience. 5+ years of experience and success providing direct leadership and mentorship to a team of employees and vendor partner resources. 7 to 10+ years of experience of increasing scope, complexity and responsibility in technology vendor governance organization. 3 to 5+ years of experience and proven success in strategy planning and execution. 3 to 5+ years of experience successfully planning and managing budgets (departmental and project). Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated knowledge of technology services industry structure and value chain that includes software, hardware, traditional infrastructure and cloud services. Demonstrated superior ability to manage multi-year, multi-million technical services and products contracts of increasing scope, complexity, visibility and criticality. Proven success in ideating and implementing innovative solutions to optimize service, support and operational efficiency/effectiveness: Thought leader and innovator in using internal and external resources to strengthen business performance. Highly effective communication skills that include the ability to translate technical information to non-technical audiences and vice versa. Experience working in the financial services industry or other similar, highly regulated environment. Certifications: Certified Outsourcing Professional. Top tier management consulting experience, with technology sourcing, large vendor contract negotiations highly desired.
