Together, we're working at the pace of change to improve patient lives with diagnostic tools that address the world's biggest health challenges. -The Manager Manufacturing Science for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible supporting manufacturing operations with scientific expertise, to ensure quality and on-time customer delivery of Beckman Coulter Immunoassay and Chemistry products.This position is part of Reagent Operations located in Chaska, MN and will be an on-site role. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.You will be a part of the Reagent Technical Operations team and report to the Senior Manager Manufacturing Science responsible for supporting the reagent manufacturing operation. • Provide Leadership and Technical Expertise to assist team members in failure investigations and determination of root cause, of immunoassay product performance and manufacturability issues.
• Provide Leadership and Technical Expertise to assist team members in implementing improvements aimed at capability, quality and cost.
• Provide Leadership and Technical Expertise to assist team members in the Design Change Process such as qualification of new material or implementation of new manufacturing processes.
• Provide Leadership and Technical Expertise to assist team members in the creation and execution of validations.
• Provide Leadership and Technical Expertise to assist team members in test method design and transfer.The essential requirements of the job include:
  • Degree in Biology of Chemical Science (B.S. with 9+ yrs exp, M.S. or Ph.D. with 7+ yrs exp.)
  • Must have a strong manufacturing science background in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or immunology
  • Quality system and validation experience
  • Must have project management experience.
  • 1+ yrs of demonstrated leadership skills.It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
    • People leadership
    • Six Sigma/VRK
    • Experience in commercial immunoassay development and/or support.The salary range for this role is 127K-145K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
