OVERVIEW
The National Sales Manager will be responsible for managing channel
sales within the telecom, broadband, datacom, and security markets.
With the directive to establish and build long term partnerships,
this individual will earn, maintain, and expand relationships with
channel partners including distributors, integrators, service
providers, and end-user accounts. This role is responsible for
achieving sales, profitability, and partner recruitment within the
assigned market.This position reports to the Senior Director of
Sales and will interact on a regular basis with sales,
administration, customer service, and management staff. This
position works cooperatively with others.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establishes productive, professional relationships with key
personnel in assigned markets.
- Coordinates the involvement of company employees, including
support, service, marketing and management resources, in order to
meet channel, partner performance objectives and partners'
expectations.
- Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volumes and
strategic objectives in assigned markets.
- Proactively develops mutual performance objectives, financial
targets, and critical milestones with partners.
- Proactively develop mutual performance objectives, financial

validating their needs on an on-going basis.
- Responsible for developing, training and implementing sales
procedures and best practices.
- Sells through partners to end-users in coordination with
partner sales resources.
- Strategically coordinates with regional manufacture's
representatives on sales targets and activities.
- Manages potential channel conflict by fostering excellent
communication internally and externally, and through strict
adherence to channel rules of engagement.
- Leads solution development efforts that best address end-user
needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company
and partner personnel.
- Ensures partner compliance with partner agreements.
- Drives adoption of company programs in assigned markets.
- Proactively recruits new qualifying partners.
- Maintain a real-time understanding of the competitive landscape
and industry best practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Work diplomatically and effectively across cross-functional
teams.
- Attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Performing all other duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTS
- If no degree, four years of relevant experience may be
substituted.
- Minimum of 10 years technology-based sales experience.
data/com, telecom, electrical, security, or IT Channel sales
experience a plus with some end user sales experience
preferred.
- Proven track record of sales excellence with consistent
achievement of assigned objectives and quotas.
- Proven ability to develop specific plans to ensure revenue
growth at assigned accounts.
- Professional written, verbal and interpersonal communication
skills that produce desired results.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to
questions from internal and external customers which includes
coworkers, managers, customers, regulatory agencies and
vendors.
- Capable of reading and interpreting information, such as
reports, general correspondence and policy guidelines, with the
ability to share with others as needed.
- Ability to use a computer and standard business and other
work-related software with minimal instruction.
- Excellent active listening, decision-making, team building and

- Proficient in Salesforce and Microsoft Office applications
including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.

- Minimum of 50% travel is required.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those
that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the
essential functions of this job.
- While performing these duties the person is regularly required
to walk, stand, bend, climb stairs, kneel, or crouch and
successfully demonstrate the ability to write or use a computer or
other electronic devices and operate a variety of hand and power
tools.
- Employees in this position may need to lift at least [15 lbs.
and up to 75 lbs.] pounds occasionally and may need to exert
themselves while performing the above-mentioned duties.
- Perform a variety of physical labor including climbing ladders,
bending, kneeling, reaching and standing for long periods of time.
Also includes being able to lift boxes, tools, equipment and
materials.
- Ability to drive a car and travel to worksites. Employee will
be reimbursed mileage according to corporate reimbursement schedule
if using a personal vehicle.
