JOB SUMMARY
The House Manager acts as caretaker/custodian living in the home to
maintain order, cleanliness of premises, conduct of residents,
bring clients to 12-step meetings, help maintain resident's
appointment schedules in health and employment; inspect and
maintain premises according to standards, orient new residents in
rules and procedures/policies of house, work with counseling team
and participate in staff meetings. In the absence of the Executive
Director, is responsible for all matters pertaining to safety
within the residence. The position requires you to be on the
property at 10:30pm and remain until 6:30 am; 7 days a week, plus
one evening driving is required. This position offers a yearly
stipend pay of $8500 and $15.50 per hour for shifts worked outside
of the overnight schedule.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Check and maintain accuracy of resident sign out log nightly
Complete bed checks nightly
Report to clinical staff regarding any incidents involving
residents and others
Transport clients as needed or required to and from facilities
outside of Park Avenue Center buildings (detox, AA meetings,
medical facilities, etc.)
Be responsible for maintaining order, cleanliness of facility
See that premises are locked and secure; unnecessary lights, coffee
maker, washer, dryer, etc. are turned off prior to retiring for the
night
In general, it is the responsibility of the House Manager to act as
caretaker/custodian during night, early a.m. and weekend hours
Assign living quarters and linens to new clients
Assign household duties to residents
Explain rules and regulations to incoming clients
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Must have a minimum of 90 days of freedom from problematic
substance use
Must have a valid Minnesota Driver's License
Good verbal communication skills
Ability to obtain a First Aid/CPR/AED certification and maintain
certification
Additional information
This position offers housing for the employee living in the
residence with clients with their own personal, locked room. This
can be a perfect opportunity for someone who has another part-time
position or is in school. Required to be on the property at 10:30pm
and remain until 6am; 7 days per week.
