Overview: Full-time - Year-round - Comprehensive Benefits Package This position will directly manage our Rides department. You will work to provide a safe and fun environment for guests and employess. You'll work with other divisional managers to complete tasks and projects and assist in other divisional departments in the absence of a department manager. How You'll Make A Difference: Responsibilities: Must be able to speak in front of large groups during training sessions. Interview/hire applicants for all positions in Park Operations to maintain adequate staffing levels throughout the season. Review and revise operating procedures. Supervise seasonal staff. Approve payroll submissions. Create a working environment that encourages employees to have fun, provide excellent guest service and fosters growth in staff. Review and recommend changes on divisional forms, procedures and policies. Attend seminars and recruiting tours, which may require overnight travel. Formulate, implement and maintain a budget plan for specific departments. Spend time in the park during operating hours to review staff performance. Purchase miscellaneous departmental supplies as necessary. Enforces all department policies/park policies/procedures and 3rd party ride training standards. Resolves guest and employee concerns. Ensures compliance with federal and state laws including, but not limited to, minor labor laws. Establishes and maintains good working relationships with other departments. Writes and deliverse counseling reports (attendance, behavior, etc.) and handles terminations when necessary. Maintains training manuals and updates when necessary. Ability to understand every ride in the park and to work alone with minimal supervision or in a team environment. Comfortable working in/with and leading a diverse workforce. Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the quest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions. Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work location and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision. Adheres to Cedar Fairs rules of conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in the Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures. Adheres to and enforces all Cedar Fair and specific park policies and procedures, including safety, attendance and EEO policies and demonstrates commitment to customer service in all aspects of employment. Other duties may be assigned. We're Looking For: Qualifications: 3-5 years of related experience in amusement park operations management Bachelors Degree (4 year College or University) preferred Basic computer skills required Must be at least 18 years of age Must possess a valid state/provincial driver's license Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions with frequent exposure to the sun, rain, cold, heat and humidity Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law Ability to pass a background check, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state or provincial law
