We are currently looking for a Segment Strategy and Insights
Manager for the Georgia-Pacific Professional (GP PRO) team.
Reporting to the Director of Segment Insights and Marketing, this
position is a part of a team responsible for building and
leveraging the organization's foundational knowledge of market
sizing and segment trends, specifically in the Office Buildings,
Manufacturing and Education (K-12 and Colleges and Universities)
segments. You will be the Subject matter expert and will be
expected to develop and activate segment insights, and marketing
strategies. Your leveraging of competitive insights will lead to an
advantaged brand portfolio and generate increased market demand.
Internal customers will span the full organization from senior
leadership, category management, innovation, marketing teams, sales
enablement and sales strategy teams.
The role will be remote in the U.S. with some travel required. We
are seeking an individual with excellent critical thinking,
communication, insight development and activation skills and a
broad understanding of marketing strategy and implementation. This
individual will need to perform multi-source synthesis by
leveraging and analyzing research and data subscriptions and engage
key stakeholders in product category, sales, and marketing. This
person will also be a key contributor to point-of-view development,
segment trends and insights storytelling, sales insights
enablement, helping earn thought leadership, as well as identifying
areas of future growth for GP PRO. He or she must have an aptitude
for a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a high sense of
urgency, customer focus and collaboration.
What You Will Do In Your Role
- Identify key insights across end-user, distribution, category,
and GP PRO's key business segments to support our insight selling
platform by creating compelling insight stories and next generation
- Perform analysis across data sources and subscriptions to
identify, quantify, and develop growth strategies across business
segments, including support of point-of-view development.
- Provide insight and foresight that support Integrated Marketing
and Sales plan development for key segments.
- Work cross-functionally with category, sales, marketing, and
finance teams to deliver against established business goals and
The Experience You Will Bring
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of marketing experience
- Experience with pitch / storyline development based on
- Experience activating insights to drive market demand at the
channel and customer level
- Experience working in a matrix organization
- Willing and able to travel (up-to 10% of the time)
What Will Put You Ahead
- 3+ years of experience in insight development & activation
- Experience in working with B2B & B2C organizations
- Experience supporting the development or activation of
marketing and sales campaigns
- Demonstrated experience using advanced Excel features and
- Demonstrated experience in analysis and presentation of data
required; PowerPoint or Prezi preferred
- Experience working with customer-facing teams - direct sales
- Advanced degree in Marketing or related field

provided for a role is an estimate determined by available market

For this role, we anticipate paying $85,000 - $110,000 per year.
This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus
or in another form.
