About The Role
As the Market and Competitive Intelligence Manager, you will be
responsible for expanding and maturing our M&CI capability at
Brivo. You lead research to support strategic company, product and
sales initiatives in a highly-visible new role within our growing
Product Marketing team.
You will bring relevant data from across the entire Brivo
organization along with external sources to be the pulse of
competitors and market trends and shifts. You will define, design
primary and secondary research and report results to leadership to
help shape our strategy across departments. You will create and
develop assets, tools, templates, frameworks, methodologies and
pro-actively maintain them constantly.
To be successful, you must be constantly curious, crafty-by-design
and able to distill abstract ideas into actionable intelligence.
You must have a passion for research and digging in deep to
identify trends that matter as well as a mindset of urgency. You
must also be ruthless in prioritization to ensure your efforts have
the biggest impact on the organization.
You will also be expected to:
- Be the subject matter expert (SME) on the market and
- Know our key competitors' product, business, sales, and market
positioning; Gather information from publicly available sources to
better understand the competitive landscape
- Manage the Brivo research agenda and establish a regular
practice for identifying research needs, questions to answer,
appropriate vehicles to gather (primary or secondary research) and
execute research projects to deliver business insights
- Manage ongoing win/loss analysis program to determine factors
impacting deals and recommendations for improving closed-won
- Identify industry trends and competitors' behavior that support
future product development and go-to-market strategies
- Collaborate with internal teams and assess our products,
technologies, solutions, customer experience and compare to
- Create effective collateral such as battle cards, technical
briefs, feature matrix and ensure they remain up-to-date across a
variety of competitors
- Create reports, presentations; share and enrich intelligence
and insights through internal user communities including executive
briefings, sales huddles and more.
- 8-10 years of experience in Product Marketing, Product
Management, Research or a similar role
- Must understand core research principles and how to effectively
run research projects
- Must have deep experience in market analysis and competitive
- Excellent communication skills
- Detail-oriented and self-sufficient
- Analytical mind and strong quantitative skills
- BS/BA in Marketing, Communications or similar field
