Your work will span new business development, quotations, customer engagement, and budget and margin management. Your creativity and exceptional communication skills will be leveraged as you define new strategies and processes to help support long-term growth objectives.REPORTS TO:Vice President Sales & MarketingDEPARTMENT:R&C Business UnitFLSA STATUS:ExemptKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:* Provide leadership, management and accountability* Achieve business unit booking, revenue and profitability goals* Foster an environment for maintaining positive relationships with customers* Forecast market volumes and trends using knowledge of targeted industriesESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:* Lead and mentor sales associates, business development executives, estimators and customer service representatives, and work with others as part of a high-performance team* Oversee, develop and sustain sales relationships with key decision makers and influencers through all levels of the organization* Establish new policies, procedures and processes for focus markets, and continually review, maintain and adjust these policies and procedures as necessary* Keep well-informed on industry changes and participate where possible in organizations directly involved with our prime markets* Continually works to improve sales techniques and knowledge of the team* Oversee quotations and sales orders to align with company process and procedures* Evaluate pipeline and business cases for acceptance based on profitability targets and established standards* Meet the objectives of maximum profitability and growth through effective sales and service practices* Work closely with marketing on trade shows, marketing strategies and engagement with industry events* Analyze customer and competitive situations, and customer business issues and interests, and generate a strategy that will achieve business objectives* Ensure strong, effective market share by providing direction and information on our products and related services* Estimated travel up to 25% throughout USA and CanadaREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:* Bachelor's degree or equivalent* 2+ years of experience in sales leadership* 5+ years of business-to-business sales and/or business development in a technical setting* Metal fabrication industry and/or OEM market experience* Proficiency in managing margins, budgets, business unit booking, revenue and profitability goals* Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and methods* Expertise in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:* Knowledge of purchasing and supply chain negotiations* Strong presentation, verbal and written communication, including giving presentations, leading meetings and providing business case scenarios* Proficient knowledge in interpreting mechanical drawings and technical specifications* Grasps and understands power of dynamic pricing and meaningful metrics* Must be able to handle multiple internal and external demands simultaneously* Adapt to changing work priorities * Drives positive results with linking personal contributions to the company vision
