KLDiscovery, a global leader in eDiscovery, is seeking a talented Quality Engineer to develop and maintain software applications to support our Enterprise Business Systems. In this key position, you will be testing our financial business systems software, any previous experience as a QA Engineer working with ERPs would be a plus.
Implement test plans (for every project or functionality) that include various types of tests.
Recognize and understand terms such as such as Test Strategy, Test Design, Test Execution, and
Test Coverage. Recognize and understand concepts of TDD, Continuous Integration and Deployment and implement and promote them on corporate level.
Design and execute integration and unit tests using a unit testing framework and mock tools.
Identify gaps in testing and contribute to decisions around unit and integration testing.
Design and execute system tests independently. Work with others to enhance System Testing best practices within the department. Create and execute advanced automated tests.
Participate actively in the development of System Testing architecture and/or documentation. Take part in decisions regarding System Testing
Demonstrate knowledge about various testing types black vs. white box testing, unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and acceptance testing.
Design and execute test cases that cover complex functionalities.
Demonstrate robust domain knowledge and understanding of release processes and how environments are setup.
Perform troubleshooting during release time and assist other members of the team on how to successfully execute a release.
Contribute to creating Release Document on a basic level.
Bachelor's degree (BSEE, BSCS, BSCE) from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience working within a quality team testing enterprise third party financial applications such as Dynamics AX, Great Plains, CostPoint, Deltek is preferred.
Understanding of the individual functionality currently being developed, the functionality at a project level, and interfaces of the dependent projects.
Demonstrate general knowledge of the functionality of the dependent projects and awareness of other projects within the company.
Understand customer needs and business reason behind product functionality.
Collaborate with Business directly on formulating good requirements with testable acceptance criteria.
Be up-to-date with new technical novelties and encourage other teams to use them if they can bring value.
Have familiarity with all formats of documentation applied in the company. Analyze, understand, create, and maintain documentation.
Find the cause of complex issues that are seen by end users and take follow-up actions to prevent the issues from happening. Work on all team tasks without supervision
Demonstrate knowledge of Continuous Delivery, Continuous Integration, and Application Lifecycle Management.
Demonstrate knowledge of secure software development and take care of general system performance monitoring.
