Job Description Job Description Description: POSITION DESCRIPTION Title: Roll-off Truck Driver Date: 01/10/2024 Reports to: Transportation Manager Supervisory responsibilities: No Classification: Nonexempt Status: Full-time POSITION SUMMARY: The roll-off truck driver position is responsible for roll-off collection services to ensure that various materials are transported and disposed of in an appropriate manner. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Operates heavy duty commercial trucks, tractor-trailers, and roll-offs Performs required pre-trip & post trip inspections and provides required reports Provides outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations Maintains all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs Maintains and protects all property Informs on-duty mechanic of any maintenance issues with equipment and/or vehicles Maintains various records and/or logs as needed per DOT regulations Fuels truck at the end of each workday Performs other related duties as assigned Required Qualifications: Have a valid Minnesota CDL Class A or B driver’s license Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain a valid health card and license Ability to lift up 40 pounds Driver must be 21 years old per DOT. Education and/or experience: High school diploma or GED Must have a clean driving record Competencies: Reasoning or problem-solving skills Professionalism Customer service skills Decision Making Leadership Time Management Professional attitude Punctuality WORK CONDITIONS Outdoor environment; exposure to extreme weather conditions; work with and around heavy machinery; exposure to dust and fumes from motorized equipment; exposure to noise, odors and gases; exposure to heavy traffic conditions, possible exposure to toxic chemicals. PHYSCIAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
