Programmer in the Manufacturing industry in Washington County, MN!
Pay Rate: $34 – $46 per hour Shift: 1st shift Monday – Friday 7 am
– 3:30 pm Key Responsibilities: Create, modify, and optimize CNC
programs using CAM software based on engineering blueprints, CAD
models, and specifications. Interpret engineering drawings,
schematics, and technical documents to understand component
dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications. Select
appropriate cutting tools, materials, and machining techniques
based on project and machine requirements. Analyze machining
processes to improve efficiency, cycle time, tool life, and surface
finish while maintaining quality standards. Simulate toolpaths,
verify program accuracy, detect potential collisions, and optimize
machining sequences using CAM software. Collaborate with design
engineers, manufacturing engineers, and machinists to ensure
programs meet technical requirements and production schedules.
Generate toolpath programs for mold components and electrodes
(3-axis and 5-axis). Review product designs for compliance with
engineering principles, company standards, and customer
requirements. Stay updated on advancements in CNC technology,
machining techniques, and software tools. Provide training and
guidance to CNC programmers, machinists, and operators. Ensure
compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and industry
specifications. Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Education Requirements: High school diploma or GED required
Additional technical training or certifications in CNC programming
preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 7 years of experience
in CNC programming Proficient in CAM software (Mastercam, Cam Tool)
and understanding of blueprint reading Strong problem-solving,
multitasking, and decision-making skills Ability to work
independently with limited supervision and collaborate with
cross-functional teams Technical mathematical skills and basic
computer proficiency Ability to perform daily tasks safely and lift
10–20 lbs as needed Preferred Experience: Component or mold
manufacturing experience Experience mentoring or training team
members Continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization
Working in high-precision machining or injection molding
environments
