About the Job





This is a post-doctoral position located in the Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME). Areas of biomedical engineering research include: Bioinstrumentation and Medical Devices, Biomaterials and Micro/Nanofabrication, Biomechanics, Biomedical Optics and Imaging, Biomolecular, Cellular, and Tissue Engineering, Cancer Bioengineering, Cardiovascular Engineering, Neural EngineeringPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work in conjunction with a faculty mentor who determines the training agenda.
  • Participate in the design, implementation, and evaluation of a research project.
  • Prepare and present data to study investigators.
  • Author, co-author, and otherwise collaborate on reports, conference papers and journal articles.
  • Supervise research assistants and laboratory personnel.

    Qualifications





    Required Qualifications:
    • Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering or closely related fieldPreferred Qualifications:
      • Strong analytical and technical skills with research and/or laboratory experience in the appropriate field

        The Department of Biomedical Engineering is an academic unit of the College of Science and Engineering that administers biomedical engineering degree programs at all levels (bachelor's, master's, and doctoral).
