Mortenson is currently seeking a Sr. Industrialization Engineer for
our Solar Energy group with the ability to interact with a variety
of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining
flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level
of professionalism and confidentiality. The Industrial Engineer
will give engineering support for new construction equipment,
technology, automation, and processes in support of the group's
chosen strategies.
This position is NOT a remote position. Must be willing to relocate
to the Minneapolis headquarters. This position is eligible for a
potential annual bonus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Research, Develop, and Engineer prototype construction solutions
Research existing technologies Contribute to brainstorming sessions
Rapidly develop cost-effective and reliable engineered design
solutions Provide quality control on all engineering. Collaborate
with field and engineering teams to ensure designs are simple,
functional, and robust. Collaborate with fabrication teams to
create fabrication drawings Conduct quality control on all
fabrication designs.
Lead all aspects of prototype development and operational
deployment
Provide fabrication quality control.
Conduct robust testing on all prototypes to replicate field
conditions prior to field testing. Support field trials and testing
for deployment start-up. Ensure corrections are made to accommodate
any improvement needed. Perform analytics on equipment performance
to identify issues. Conduct root cause analysis and implement
corrective action. Gather field feedback for future enhancements or
improvements of equipment.
Manage submittals Set up register in accordance with project
specifications Obtain the customer/architect's approval Prepare
project-specific transmittal forms in PCMS Coordinate the
packaging, review, and processing of submittals Expedite submittals
to ensure material deliveries are in sync with the project schedule
Communicate details and requirements for the submittal process to
subcontractors and suppliers,
Active listening skills and effective communication including an
openness to diverse input and feedbackAbility to travel minimum 50%
required

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics Construction, Civil
engineering, or equivalent experienceMinimum two to three years of
engineering, construction, or related experienceCurrent driver's
license
