business at . About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior
DevOps Engineer within the Directory Security Engineering (DSE)
team to support the team's efforts in the design, development,
testing, and implementation of Ping Directory service configuration
as code. The senior engineer is responsible for supporting a team
of LDAP engineers in developing Ansible playbooks, Ruby modules,
and automated tests. As a member of our team, you will be
responsible for maintaining and improving our continuous
integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline leveraging GitHub,
Jenkins, Artifactory and Ansible. The senior engineer will also be
responsible for the design, testing and deployment of containerized
Directory services to cloud-hosted Kubernetes platforms such as
Azure AKS and Google GKE. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve internally developed Ruby/RubyGems code,
Perl and Bash scripts for automation of Directory service
configuration and deployment
- Develop CI/CD pipeline with GitHub, Jenkins build, Artifactory
and Ansible to facilitate rapid deployment and testing of
infrastructure and configuration changes
- Collaborate with LDAP engineers to help design and develop
deployment automation capabilities for new products
- Develop Ansible playbooks to orchestrate our deployments across
various end points
- Implement containerized product offerings with Kubernetes for
deployment to Cloud (Azure/Google)
- Utilize DevOps practices including CI/CD, automation,
infrastructure orchestration, and cloud service delivery
- Support and automate system compliance with federal compliance
frameworks
- Lead new projects and initiatives, driving them to completion
within required deadlines
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to junior team
members
- Troubleshoot issues across the entire application stack In this
role, you will:
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within
technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and
programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and
deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an
in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet
existing client needs or potential new clients' needs while
leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies,
procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level
managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance
and direction to less experienced staff Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent
demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work
experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of DevOps experience
- 3+ years of development experience with languages such as Ruby,
Python, Java
- 3+ years of experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
- 3+ years of experience with Cloud
technologies/Kubernetes/Containers
- 3+ years of GitHub experience Desired Qualifications:
- 2+ years of leadership experience including coaching, training
and mentoring
- Experience working with Ansible playbooks
- Experience working with monitoring and logging services
- Experience working in an Agile product environment and
ceremonies
- Ability to conduct thorough investigations, including a deep
dive, into reliability and scaling issues from both a code and
infrastructure perspective
- Knowledge and understanding of issues or change management
processes
- Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal
supervision in a structured environment
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across
all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and
adaptability are important
- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate
complex material to a diverse audience
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication
skills
