K & M Manufacturing Co., which began as K&M Manufacturing
and Repair, was founded in 1958. Our first products were simple
toolboxes and steps designed to make a farmers work easier and more
productive in the field. In the early 60's K&M expanded the
product line to include replacement tractor seats.From there, the
product line has continued to grow to more than 2,500 innovative
products like seats, suspensions, steps, mirrors, floor mats, cab
foam kits, warning light systems, tool boxes, weight boxes and many
more items. Our products are custom built for Allis Chalmers, Case
IH, David Brown, Ford, International Harvester, John Deere, Kubota,
Massey Ferguson, Minneapolis Moline, New Holland, Oliver White,
Steiger and Versatile tractors and mowers.The size of K&M has
grown to over 32,000 square feet of production space and over
40,000 square feet of warehouse space for materials and finished
products.K&M Manufacturing Co. is excited to announce our 2023
Summer Internship Program. The program is designed to kick-start
your career and provide real-world experience in your chosen
profession. Interns will further develop their skills and knowledge
by completing project-based work that addresses real business
issues. The program also connects participants with management at
various levels of the organization and provides an inside view of
our environment and culture. The program structure includes an
end-of-program project presentation by the intern to members of the
management team. K&M Manufacturing Co. is currently seeking a
Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join our thriving Engineering
department. You will be assigned specific projects that will not
only maximize your potential but add great value to our
company!Basic Function: The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will
work on real-time projects which contribute to the larger picture
by assisting, guiding and seeing products through the full
manufacturing process. This is an exciting position for someone who
wants to learn about product development, manufacturing, and
assembly with a stable, growing organization. Our goal for this
internship is to provide a great learning opportunity where the
intern can jump in and contribute to their full potential, with
whatever level of supervision they need to get their jobs
completed. Essential Functions:Analyzes production flow, performs
time studies, and aids in assembly line layouts Provides
recommendations and generates specifications for necessary assembly
aids and equipmentReviews routings and updates work center
informationGenerates Continuous Improvement ideas and aids in their
implementationQualifications and Experience: RequiredSeeking
post-secondary education.Strong people skills with ability to
relate to peoples' needs and concerns while still being able to
accomplish the Company's goals.Strong organizational and analytical
skills.Must exhibit strong decision making qualities.Working
knowledge and experience with Excel and Word. Speak, write, and
read fluent English.Ability to communicate effectively, both orally
and in writing, with a wide range of Company personnel and
