Job Description:

Description: This person will report to the Director of Controls Engineering (who has been w/ the company for over 30 years), and that team is 10 total and consists of Controls Engineers, Electrical Designers, and Software Engineers. They design and build laser cutting machines for a wide variety of industries. Can be very large in scale, and every project is different! Looking For: - 80% of their projects they actual program in Omron (Delta Tau), which is a structured text platform (Allen Bradley is a ladder logic platform); about 20% of projects are done in Allen Bradley - The ideal candidate would have experience with Omron, but they are open to candidates with Allen Bradley experience. - The manager would ideally like someone with a Bachelors (or Masters) degree. I did give him feedback that a lot of these candidates only have a Two-year Associates degree, and he was open to it, but again would prefer a Bachelors degree. - Experience with motion control is highly desired - Do NOT need Design as they have dedicated Designers; the role is predominantly focused on Omron/Allen Bradley PLC/HMI programming. - Any Robotic experience is nice to have - Minimal travel, maybe 5-10% - 100% onsite role Skills: Plc programming, Automation, Allen-Bradley, Hmi, Omron, Allen Bradley plc, Controls engineering, Troubleshooting, Robotics, Schematic, motion control Top Skills Details: Plc programming, Automation, Allen-Bradley, Hmi, Omron, Allen-Bradley plc, Controls engineering Additional Skills & Qualifications: - BS degree preferred, but willing to look at an Associates - 3+ years' experience with Controls Engineering specific to automated equipment - Experience with Omron (Delta Tau) PLC's is highly desirable - Experience with Allen Bradley PLC/HMI programming - Knowledge of schematics / electrical diagrams - Experience with motion control is highly desirable - Any experience with Robotics is a nice to have Experience Level: Intermediate Level
