A school district in Minnesota is seeking a short-term Substitute School Social Worker to provide essential social-emotional and behavioral support to elementary students. This position will cover an elementary school with approximately 550 students and is expected to last at least through early April, with a possibility for extension depending on district needs. Responsibilities: Deliver social-emotional learning classroom lessons and facilitate small group instruction. Provide one-on-one student support, addressing behavioral and emotional challenges. Collaborate closely with the school's counselor, psychologist, and intervention teams to support student well-being. Participate actively in intervention and support teams to meet diverse student needs. Work alongside administrative staff, including the principal and assistant principal, to foster a positive and supportive school environment. Qualifications: Bachelors Degree (BSW) or Masters Degree (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program. Active licensure through the Minnesota Board of Social Work. Current PELSB licensure required. Prior experience working within school settings is preferred. Location:This position is based in a Minnesota elementary school environment serving grades K5.
