Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1 years
Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. This role offers the
opportunity to work as an Onsite Behavior Intervention Specialist
(BIS) supporting elementary schools within a dynamic school
district in Anoka, Minnesota. The position is a contract assignment
for the 20252026 school year, beginning January 5, 2026, and
concluding June 5, 2026, with a 37.5-hour workweek typically from
8:30 a.m. to 4:10 p.m., Monday through Friday. Primary
responsibilities include consulting and implementing positive
behavior interventions and supports to enhance student progress.
The role involves conducting functional behavior assessments,
developing individualized education plans (IEPs), and collaborating
with other specialists and administrators. The successful candidate
will provide training to staff, utilize data-driven strategies to
inform decisions, and apply de-escalation techniques and, when
necessary, restrictive procedures to maintain a safe and positive
learning environment. Flexibility and calmness during crisis
situations are essential, alongside adherence to district policies
and procedures. Key qualifications and desired experience: Licensed
as a BCBA or Special Education Teacher with Tier 3 or 4 licensure
(if applying as a SpEd teacher) Experience conducting functional
behavior assessments and implementing behavior intervention plans
Strong collaborative and communication skills to work effectively
with teams and staff Knowledge of state and federal requirements
related to special education and behavior support Ability to use
data to support decision-making and programming adjustments Skills
in de-escalation and behavior management techniques Commitment to
creating a positive educational environment and ensuring safety The
position supports four elementary schools across nearby
communities, offering varied environments and opportunities for
