Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1 years
Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. A Behavior Intervention
Specialist (BIS) position is available to support elementary
students through positive behavioral interventions and supports in
a dynamic school district setting. This contract role runs from
early January through early June, providing an opportunity to make
a meaningful impact within multiple elementary schools. Location:
Andover, MN Duration: Contract, January 5, 2026 June 5, 2026
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, approximately 8:30 AM to
4:10 PM, 37.5 hours per week Work Environment: Collaborative team
including another BIS and Special Education Administrator Key
Responsibilities: - Conduct functional behavior assessments and
implement evidence-based positive behavior intervention strategies
to support student progress - Collaborate closely with educational
teams to develop, monitor, and adjust individualized education
plans (IEPs) consistent with district, state, and federal
guidelines - Provide staff training on behavior management
techniques and recommendations to promote consistent and effective
interventions - Use de-escalation techniques, data-driven decision
making, and individualized support to address behaviors and
maintain a safe learning environment - Assist in maintaining
compliance with school policies, including the use of restrictive
procedures when necessary and appropriate - Respond calmly and
adaptively in crisis situations to ensure student and staff safety
- Provide support across four elementary schools within the
district Qualifications: - Licensed Board Certified Behavior
Analyst (BCBA) or Special Education Teacher with Tier 3 or 4
license - Experience conducting functional behavior assessments and
implementing behavior intervention plans - Strong communication and
teamwork skills for effective collaboration with educators and
administrators - Ability to utilize data to inform and tailor
behavior interventions This role offers the chance to positively
