The School District of Beloit has an opening for three (3)
Special Education Para Educators at McNeel Intermediate School.
These positions are for 7 hours a day. This is a full
time/permanent position based on 183 days per year (prorated for
2021-2022). Candidates should have experience working with children
from diverse backgrounds, demonstrate flexibility, patience, and be
able to work as part of a team. Required qualifications: High
School diploma or GED, an Associate's degree, or forty eight (48)
credits, or proof of successful completion of a WI DPI approved
assessment (ACT WorkKeys, ParaPro-Assessment ETS, or ParaEducator
Master Teacher). A high school diploma is necessary, but not
sufficient. Candidate must hold or be willing to obtain the
Wisconsin Para-educator license. Rate of pay is $16.42/hour. Start
date is: ASAP. Minority and bilingual candidates are encouraged to

Parapro-Assessment ETS, or ParaEducator Master Teacher)
- Shall be eligible for Wisconsin Special Education Program Aide
- Ability to lift/move, 50 pounds where applicable
- Possess basic information technology and media skills
- Strong oral and written communicate skills
- Present proof of physical fitness to assume all the duties of
the job (standing, bending, kneeling, etc)
Position is located in a school building. Work will be performed
primarily at an assigned school campus.
Continually traversing corridors. Occasionally in a stationary
position, sitting or standing, for up to 4 hours. Frequently
lifts/moves/carries objects or students up to 60 pounds. Frequently
must position self to heights under 3' by stooping or squatting.
Understands complex problems and explores alternative solutions.
Organizes thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology.
Constantly works with others; must converse and be understood
verbally and in written form. Occasionally must subdue forceful
students by using non-violent intervention methods.
None, this position has no supervisory responsibilities.
