Maintenance Technician I – 1st Shift Shakopee, MN $30–$34 per hour (Based on Experience) Temporary Assignment Monday–Friday | 4:00 AM – End Time as Needed Our client, a leading refrigerated food manufacturing facility, is seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting production, packaging, and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, electrical knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What’s in it for you? Competitive pay: $30–$34/hr 1st shift schedule (early start – afternoons open) Weekly pay Work in a well-established food production environment Gain experience in a USDA-regulated facility What Manpower Offers Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance 401(k) with company match Short-Term Disability & Life Insurance Paid Holidays (based on eligibility) Referral bonus opportunities Free training and skill development programs Dedicated Manpower support team throughout your assignment What You’ll Be Doing Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production, refrigeration, and building equipment Perform preventative maintenance and maintain PM documentation Support production, assembly, packaging, and warehouse operations Assist in training employees on equipment operation Identify and implement process improvements to reduce downtime Follow GMP and food safety standards at all times What You Bring 2-year trades degree OR 3 years of plant maintenance experience Electrical print reading and motor controls experience Welding and fabrication experience Experience in food or USDA facilities (preferred) Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work in refrigerated and varying temperature environments Submit to a background check and drug screen Physical Requirements Lift up to 60 lbs (with assistance equipment as needed) Work at heights up to 30 feet Frequent standing, walking, bending, and use of tools This is a temporary assignment.
