Position SummaryWith the Foundation poised for significant growth into the future, we seek a candidate who is a seasoned leader with the experience and skills to bring a strategic lens to role of marketing communications in a mission-driven organization. The ideal candidate will be a solutions-based creative a team player, invigorated by collaboration.The Manager of Marketing Communications (the Manager) plays a key role in furthering the Foundation's mission by serving donors and helping the Foundation reach a growing audience. The Manager will lead the development and execution of the Foundation's brand, communications programs and related marketing strategies. This position ensures our broad range of communications, internal and external, reflect and advance the mission, vision and values of InFaith and contribute to the achievement of the Foundation's goals. Job Description - Team Leadership - Serve as a member of the Foundation's leadership team. - Develop the long-term and short-term marketing and communications strategies. - Oversee direct report(s). - Provide regular support to the CEO for Board preparation. - Strategy Implementation - Oversee and execute cross-functional marketing and communications intended for external audiences (including donors, professional advisors, partners and grantees) to ensure alignment with the Foundation's brand, visual identity and strategy; and to lead targeted audiences to action. The communications collateral has included promotional and marketing materials, publications, annual reports and newsletters, focused customer touch points, website content and social media. - Lead survey process for key InFaith stakeholders. Gauge satisfaction with InFaith and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. - Conduct research to further inform InFaith communications and the Foundation's overarching strategies. - Collaborate with key business partners to deliver InFaith strategies and business goals. - Operations - Lead and manage Marketing Communications staff with responsibility for their professional development, engagement and performance. - Oversee budget and project calendar. - Own success measures for marketing communications efforts vis--vis broader Foundation goals. - Manage relationships with applicable consultants/vendors. Key Performance Factors and Accountability Measures - Demonstrates strong subject matter expertise and industry knowledge. - High learning agility and appetite for continued learning opportunities. - Strong emotional intelligence and communications skills (oral and written). - Experience with relevant technology and marketing communications platforms. - Performs assigned responsibilities and contributes to a respectful, collaborative work environment. - Advances the Foundation mission by providing excellent service and a high degree of professionalism to donors, grantees, board, financial representatives and external constituents. - Demonstrates flexibility and versatility in handling all tasks assigned. - Produces work of the highest possible quality. - Demonstrates initiative, competence and reliability. - Exhibits accuracy and timeliness in all areas of responsibility and assigned work. - Works effectively and efficiently in a faced-paced environment, both independent and as part of a team, with minimum supervision. - Exhibits regular and reliable work attendance. - Demonstrate an interest and ability to develop new skills and operate in a continuous leaning environment by creating an annual plan for professional development. - Adheres to policies and procedures is demonstrated, especially discretion surrounding confidentiality. - Plans and organizes work effectively while remaining flexible and adaptable to change. Desired Qualifications - Proven success in the fields of marketing and communications (or either with an aptitude to learn the other. - Bachelor's degree preferred; advanced degrees welcomed, but relevant work experience, proven success and learning agility are more important. - Competence and self-assurance in learning and using existing and new technologies. - Experience leading and managing people. - Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis. - High level of integrity and dependability with a strong drive for urgency & results. - Ability to work on everyday details with an eye towards long-term strategy. - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner, recognizing limits of authority and calling upon additional resources when required. - Confidence and composure to represent the organization externally - on the phone, online and at meetings/events. - There are no extraordinary physical demands or licenses required for this position.
