Essential Functions:Reports to the SEC Fin Rep Manager and assists with the preparation of company's SEC filings, research and documentation of technical acct issues, assists w/compliance with SOX and administers various Oracle products including EBS and Hyperion.Successful candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, knowledge of fundamental acct principles, knowledge of Oracle products including EBS & Hyperion.ResponsibilitiesAssist in preparation of and draft sections of the 10-K and 10-Q, including financial statements, financial statement footnotes and MD&A using disclosure checklists to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.Collaborate with other functional groups and obtain the necessary information to draft the appropriate descriptions and wording for footnotes and other disclosures in the 10-K and 10-Qs.* * Critical analysis and review of complex accounting transactions that require a level of technical judgement such as inventory reserves.* * Administer Oracle software, including EBS and Hyperion.* * Independently troubleshoot issues and implement solutions that arise within the Oracle software of EBS and Hyperion and be the liaison with IT for resolving complex issues.* * Perform ad-hoc analyses and research of accounting literature, as requested by management, including participating as a key contributor on projects implementing new accounting pronouncements issued by FASB.* * Assist the SEC Financial Reporting Manager in interfacing with others, including senior management, external auditors and consultants regarding accounting and financial reporting issues to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.Qualifications* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; CPA preferred* * Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience, preference for public accounting experience* * Understanding of financial reporting and US GAAP* * Ability to work independently and within a team environment, and to make well-reasoned and timely decisions* * Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills* * Strong familiarity with accounting research tools* * Basic familiarity with Oracle EBS and Hyperion* * Ability to work in high production environment and respond quickly and effectively under pressure, changing priorities and tight timelines/deadlines* * High degree of accuracy and attention to detail* * Strong written and oral communication skills* * Internally motivated to seek out answers, generate ideas and develop new skills* * High level of integrity, good work ethic, willingness to learn and a positive attitude
