well-established, privately held company in the mechanical and
building services space , serving commercial and residential
customers throughout the Twin Cities. They’re looking to add a
hands-on Controller to own the accounting function and partner
closely with leadership as the business continues to grow. This
position is south of St. Paul and this role can be onsite or
hybrid. This is an individual-contributor role with no direct
reports , making it a great opportunity for either: A Controller
who enjoys staying close to the work, or A Senior Accountant /
Accounting Manager ready to step into a Controller title What
You’ll Do Own the full monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
process Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and
forecasts Oversee job costing, WIP reporting, and margin analysis
Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and covenant reporting
Ensure compliance with GAAP and coordinate with external CPA firm
for year-end review/tax work Improve accounting processes,
controls, and reporting as the business scales Serve as a financial
partner to ownership and operational leaders What They’re Looking
For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 5 years of
progressive accounting experience Experience in construction,
mechanical services, project-based, or job-costing environments
strongly preferred Strong Excel skills and experience with
ERP/accounting systems Comfortable working independently and being

management. • Knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory
compliance requirements. • Advanced analytical skills with the
ability to interpret complex financial data. • Excellent
communication and presentation abilities for interacting with
senior management. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a
related field
