Description:Hours and Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 AM-5 PM. In Office Position: Mankato, Minnesota. Reports To: CFOPay: Salary $55,000-$70,000, ExemptWe have an immediate opening for a Staff Accountant. The staff accountant is responsible for AR/AP, accounts reconciliation, cash payment processing and accounting data entry for several owned entities. Following and complying with GAAP and company processes, procedures and regulations the accountant provides accounting support to the CFO and Controller in all aspects of accounting. Essential Duties:Facilitate and process weekly check runs, process and collect appropriate lien waiversMonthly expense account analysis and reportingResponsible for full AR/AP scope from start to finishAssist with general ledger accounting as needed and directedData entry, reconciliation, analysis and reporting on vendors, sub-contractors and various accountsPrepare accurate and timely daily, weekly and monthly reports and analysis for management and other users as neededObtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structureAssist Accounting department and Management as needed with financial information, research and reportingOther duties as assigned and neededEssential Areas of Responsibility:AR/APAccount ReconciliationAccounting Department Support & AssistanceKey Competencies:Problem-solving, critical and analytical thinkingHigh degree of detail and accuracyData entry and analysisOrganization & time managementRequirements:Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Requirements:Degree in Accounting or Finance5 + years' experience in professional accountingGAAP: 3 years (preferred)GL accounting & reconciliation: 3 years (preferred)Proficient in Office 365, ERP Knowledge (preferred)Must have proficient knowledge of Excel: able to create and read formulas create graphs for analysis, and strong navigation and editing abilityMust be able to learn industry specific softwareAbility to prioritize, meet deadlines, detail oriented, high degree of accuracyMust possess the ability to handle confidential informationMust possess and be able to demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively across functions to accomplish goals and meet overall company objectives requiredStrong verbal, written communication skills with ability to successfully communicate complex quantitative dataPhysical Demands:Must be able to remain in stationary position 50% of the timeMust be able to move, traverse inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery and collaborateConstantly operate a computerThe ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understandThe ability to observe details at close rangeCompensation details: 55000-70000 Yearly SalaryPI7855e7bdebc3-25660-36524042
