day.Responsibilities include:Assist the Controller in the
preparation, analysis and presentation of financial, treasury, and
tax reports and statistics to management and outside
organizationsOversee timely execution of the month-end close
process and related reporting to ensure accurate financial results,
meaningful financial analysis and the completion of all
requirements within corporate timelines and in accordance with
generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)Analyze, interpret,
and present financial results. Monitor performance against budget
and forecasted results. Provide financial information to all
departments and assist in resolving questions and
discrepancies.Review the reconciliations of all balance sheet
accounts on a monthly basis along with trend analysis to ascertain
accuracy, completeness and appropriateness of balances.Coordinate
activities in preparation for periodic audits and reviews by
external organizations, including financial statement audits and
tax complianceOversee the preparation and consolidation of
financial statements on accordance with GAAP, including financial
statements and related footnotes for annual audits and monthly
compliance reporting packagesAssist with technical accounting
matters, which includes the research of unusual, complex accounting
transactions to determine the solutions to accounting issues and
preparation of whitepapers where appropriate.Assist in the
development and evaluation of accounting policies and procedural
control systems and continuously improve effectiveness and
compliance. This includes maintenance and performance of internal
controls.Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to department
staff in general accounting, accounts payable, and accounts
receivableAssist in the development of the annual budget and
monthly forecast processesIdentify, initiate, and execute process
documentation and improvements to improve team and
cross-departmental efficiencies. Foster initiative-taking process
reviews and improvements throughout the department.Maintain ERP
systems to process transactions, capture and store data efficiently
and accuratelyMinimum Experience/Education Requirements:S. Degree
in Accounting required, CPA preferred5+ years professional
accounting experience gained through increasingly responsible
positions within Finance/Accounting2+ years of recent experience as
an Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or comparable work
experience while supervising othersProficient knowledge and use of
MS Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPointExperience working
within ERP systems with demonstrated ability to learn new systems
and problem-solveDemonstrated ability to implement and maintain
complex accounting systemsExperience working in a manufacturing
environment preferredExcellent verbal and written communication
skills, with ability to communicate with all levels within an
organizationAbility to work under limited supervision and manage
projects to completionDemonstrated willingness and ability to
analyze and document processes, monitor compliance & ensure high
standards in department outputsSelf-motivated and thrives in an
autonomous environmentCritical thinking ability; independently
identify problems, proposes solutions and executesSound
administrative and project management skillsStrong analytical
thinking and problem solving skillsParticipative style - team
