As the Assistant Controller, you will assist in supervising the accounting staff and report to the Controller.   Innovative preparation and coordination of fiscal year-end audits
  
  
• 
  Encourage implementation and certify adherence to accounting policies and procedures
  
  
• 
  Other distinguished duties when required
  
  
• 
  Create relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
  
  
• 
  Analyze and create Ad Hoc financial reports
  
  
• 
  Partake in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting
  
  
• 
  Gather a number of technical accounting analyses, procedures, and policies
  
  
• 
  Steer the accounting team during the closing process to warrant deadlines are met
  
  
• 
  Promote accountability and the meeting of deliverables
  
  
• 
  Identify and develop process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency
  
  
• 
  Backfill for Controller as required
  
  
• 
  Promote to ensure a competent, trained staff through regular assessment, development, and goal setting
  
  
• 
  Guarantee regular account reconciliation to completion Requirements - Thorough knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
  
  
• 
  Be able to prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  
  
• 
  Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  
  
• 
  3+ years of general ledger accounting experience
  
  
• 
  CPA certification desired
  
  
• 
  Progressive accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
  
  
• 
  Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)
  
  
• 
  Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  
  
• 
  Distinguished analytical, quantitative and social skills
