DescriptionRed Wing Shoes is seeking a Sr. Accountant in Fixed
Assets to join our Corporate Accounting team in Finance. This role
is responsible for the accounting over the Company's fixed assets
and cloud computing arrangements. Acting as a business partner,
this role will collaborate with businesses to understand ongoing
projects and related accounting implications.This role as Sr.
Accountant Fixed Assets will be the lead for accurately recording
all fixed asset transactions in the fixed asset system, calculation
of depreciation, execution of transfers, and disposals within the
system and maintenance of the Business Technology (BT) allocation
model. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the
accounting, reporting, planning & forecasting and ad hoc analysis
for Capital Expenditures, including the Fixed Asset month end close
activities for relevant financial information and
insights.QualificationsBachelor's Degree (B.A/B.S.) preferably in
the area of Finance, Accounting or a related field from an
accredited College or University is required, with a minimum of 5
years of relevant accounting experience with progressive
responsibility; or an equivalent combination of education and
experience. CPA or CMA designation is preferred.Qualified
candidates should have experience in process improvements and
developing systematic process; Experience with financial planning
and reporting systems such as BPC or Hyperion; Working knowledge of
Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal
controls; Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships
with all levels of management; Strong attention to detail; Ability
to work independently in a pro-active manner; Excellent oral,
written and presentation skills, with active listening skills being
equally important; Demonstrated analytical, quantitative and
problem solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing
organizational needs; Excellent project management skills to seek
an initiative through from start to end; Ability to work
collaboratively with all departments, management levels within the
company and outside partners; Ability to drive results and manage
multiple priorities; Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel; Basic
knowledge in Word and Outlook; Ability to optimize business
technology tools to improve business processes is a plus.Additional
