Ref ID: 02300-0011647075 Classification: Sr. Accountant Compensation: $70000.00 to $75000.00 yearly A growing Education company is in need of an efficient Senior Accountant to join their team on a full-time basis in the Bloomington, Minnesota area. As a Senior Accountant, your duties will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Located in Bloomington, Minnesota, this Senior Accountant role is with a company in the Education field. Responsibilities - Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner - Produce monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes - Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP - Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external - Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary - Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations - Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process - Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives - When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests Job Requirements: - Financial auditing experience preferred - Solid understanding of financial reporting - BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred - 5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience - Strong attention to detail - Proficient in ERP systems - Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines - Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening) - Remarkable analytical, quantitative and social skills - Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued - Able to manage time well - Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment - SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus - Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills - Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required Robert Half Finance & Accounting matches skilled professionals with remote or on-site jobs in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, audit, taxation and more on a full-time basis.
