WFCF offers traditional asset-based financing, specialized senior secured financing, accounts receivable financing, purchase order financing, and supply chain financing to a wide range of companies throughout the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.The Business Development Officer (BDO) will support our Middle Market ABL and Commercial Services product groups and will be responsible for originating and transacting secured lending opportunities in the middle market in Minnestota North Dakota, South Dakota, Colorado, Wyoming and Montana. In this role, the BDO will lead WFCF?s coverage of our Commercial Banking and Wholesale Partners, including managing transaction flow and leading long-cycle coverage efforts in our served markets.? The BDO will also be tasked with sourcing lending opportunities from various referral sources, including private equity groups, investment banks, and other third-party intermediaries.?Responsibilities include conducting effective analysis of complex transactions, negotiating terms and conditions during the screening/proposal stage, and assisting the underwriting team through a successful closing.Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit?s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: leveraged finance, commercial finance, or investment banking

    Desired Qualifications
    • Lending opportunities analysis experience related to acquisitions, consolidations, debtor-in-possession financings, leveraged buy-outs, refinancing, and corporate growth

      Other Desired Qualifications
      • Knowledge of Deal Structuring and strong Underwriting capabilities
      • Ability to develop relationships with existing and prospective Clients
      • Regional Engagement and Relationships with Referral Sources or Commercial Bank

        Job Expectations
        • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time
