accountability to business partners and other parties for project
planning, day-to-day execution, management, implementation,
readiness, and reporting of medium to large projects and/or small
programs (typically $2M-$4M) often with varying scope, high
complexity, and non-contained risk that support simple to
moderately complex business unit or corporate goals.
Project/program objectives address complex business goals. The
projects/programs will typically span multiple IT and/or business
areas. Accountable to manage and monitor project tasks and controls
during portfolio planning, project planning, and delivery
activities to ensure on-time and quality outcomes are met within
scope and budget. Work independently and apply expert/leading
project management and advanced program management knowledge,
skills, tools, and techniques to project deliverables, processes,
communications, presentations in order to meet or exceed
stakeholder needs and expectations. Understand, apply, promote, and
contribute to Voya delivery methodologies, standards, and tools
What You Will Contribute:
- Accountable to business sponsor(s) and management to drive
delivery of quality solutions tied to clearly understood business
problem(s) and benefit(s)
- Deliver project/program objectives on-time, with quality,
within scope and budget in order to meet or exceed stakeholder
needs and expectations
- Develop, manage, monitor, and report on all project, program,
and/ or portfolio tasks, activities, controls, deliverables, and
reports
- Promote early awareness, communication, transparency and
mitigation planning of critical dependencies, risks and issues
within project
- Demonstrate proven capability to be disciplined and flexible at
the same time
- Supply accurate project estimates and tightly manage project
budget, approved funding, forecasts, and actuals
- Secure and maintain project resources and actively manage
resource plan
- Understand, apply, promote, and contribute to Voya delivery
methodologies, standards, and tools
- Look for and champion opportunities to reduce cost and improve
efficiency while delivering on all commitments
- Facilitate & drive simplified solutions to complex problems to
enable positive outcomes
- Naturally lead and command authority, influence and inspire
without control
- Proven ability to create open environments conducive to freely
share information and ideas; listen and effectively communicate
with clarity and precision
- Exercise independent and fair consensus building skills when
conflicts arise
- Anticipate and head off problems that can jeopardize delivery,
budget, customer readiness, and customer acceptance
- Demonstrate team building skills by developing high performing
project teams, setting a positive tone and leading by example
- Hold self and project team accountable for valued business
outcomes
- Remove barriers to enable project team to complete objectives
no matter how difficult
- Actively coach and mentor members of the PM community
- Effectively operate with limited information and ambiguity
- Effectively negotiate priorities and solutions
- Manage vendor relationships as required
- Drive lessons learned and knowledge retention for future
use
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings and capture clear and
actionable minutes
- Coordinate and execute consistent time entry processes and
reporting for all project team members Minimum Knowledge &
Experience:
- 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience
preferred
- Proven ability to apply judgement in all scenarios
- Success of building partnerships and alliances across the
enterprise and at all levels
- Tailors the communications language, method and frequency based
on the intended audience; embeds escalation wording to add emphasis
to key updates and decision points
- Expert understanding of project management principles
- Proven ability to apply expert/leading project management and
advanced program management skills, tools, and techniques to
project deliverables, processes, communications, and
presentations
- Expert knowledge of a project lifecycle
- Efficiently utilize current project and/or portfolio planning,
reporting, and support tools
- Efficiently develop, manage, monitor, and appropriately report
on programs, projects, portfolio and/or project tasks and
controls
- Continuous learner; quickly adapt to changing environment and
personalities
- Develop business case, understand it thoroughly, and
continually monitor projects or programs against it to ensure
benefit realization
- Experience interacting with and influencing senior members of
management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills requiredPreferred

to pay that's fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for
comparable roles and responsibilities. The below annual base salary
range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in
the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers
incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales
incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to
reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please
note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to
perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the
amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this
posting. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted
salary range based upon the candidate's geographic location, work
experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level
and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time
roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours
to be regularly worked. $105,700 - $132,120 USDBe Well. Stay Well.
